The prisoner of Parkinson studies
Dear Professor Carlini,
I am a french family doctor but also a university teacher and medical searcher in general practice.
I have to do a litterature review of some sociologicals works within my master. The title is “coordination of trajectories of the patient suffering from chronical illness”.
I am interested in parkinson’s disease and so I discoverd your theory. The Prisoner of Parkinson. It is very interesting and I will cite you in my work.
I have only one question: Wich was the basic study for your theory?
I have to mention the number of participants and the study method in my text. Will it be possible to get this information? I did not found anything in the web. You are giveing some percentages but no references.
Thank you a lot for your help.
I also wish you a happy and peaceful new year!
Kindest regards
Dr S.

Dear Dr S,
Thanks for having written me.
In Italy there are two types of researches on the Parkinson disease.
The first one has received money from the government for 250.000 Euros. The focused, on the illness, starting from the medical organisations such as the state and locals administrations.
The second research is The Prisoner of Parkinson. It has not been founded, and it is focused on Parkinson between the patients. This is a new kind of study because the ill people are the center. Up today, in the world, there are not sociology studies on every kind of diseases.
I aim to create a pain sociology university course in any university all over the world.
The main aspect is that the illness changes the patients behaviour.
The nervousness creates a wasting away of the nervous system who becomes ill very easily.
Speaking on qualitative sociology (few cases study), and not on quantitative sociology (many standard cases study). My work has not received research money from anyone and I have studied just 25 cases.
Patients come to me because they are disappointed from the official medicine. They, without innovative studies on the sociological causes of the nervous illnesses, ask me new ideas.
There is such as an interest from some professors all over the world.
I hope to have helped you
Professor Giovanni Carlini
